February Book Reviews

Well… this is a little sad compared to my January Book Reviews! All I have to say is, what a month! Between our Disney trip, late practices for competition, all the assignments due for my Masters’ classes, and making cookies (my side hustle LOL), there just has been ZERO time for reading. The only book I’ve actually finished was the 4DX book. The Crucial Conversations one has just been started, but I felt like I needed to put it here so I wouldn’t look SO pathetic, haha!

The 4 Disciplines of Execution by Chris McChesney, Sean Covey, and Jim Huling – Even though it took my over a month to finish, it really was a good book for what it’s about. In my current class at Lamar, we have been discussing making changes in your organization and the best way to go about it/make them last. This book, 4DX for short, goes through four disciplines that leaders need to implement in order to make lasting change and reach ‘wildly important goals’. The book not only describes the four disciplines, but it goes through examples of other organizations and companies implementing them successfully. It really is a good read, and if you’re interested in learning more, check out my latest assignment, here!
