The Most Magical Place

This past weekend my family and I took a vacation to Disney World in Orlando, and I can definitely say it was magical! We boarded our planes Thursday evening and arrived in Orlando late that night. Our driver had us cheering as we passed the Disney World sign, and it just set the tone for what turned out to be an incredible weekend! As we pulled into the Art of Animation Resort, we were in awe. The detail that is put into every aspect of Disney is incredible!

At the resort, there are themed rooms, and ours happened to be Finding Nemo. I’m telling you, themed from TOP to BOTTOM! Even the soap in the shower was called Sea Salt!

Friday morning, equipped with our Mickey ears, we woke up and made the trip to Magic Kingdom. Walking down the main street and seeing the castle up ahead is a feeling like no other. My niece who is 5 and my nephews who are 6 and 8 were with us, and I think seeing their reactions to everything is what made the entire trip. We raced from end to end of the park, riding all the rides we could, and catching glimpses of the character parades. I won’t lie – when I saw those Disney Princesses come by on their floats, I teared up! I was truly feeling the Disney magic!

We spent Saturday morning at Animal Kingdom and I loved the feeling as if you were walking through a jungle. The animal Safari ride was incredible, along with seeing the characters at Tuscker House for lunch. I have never seen Avatar, but the detail put into creating the Avatar area and rides was spectacular. After lunch, we made our way to Epcot, where we got to walk through the different countries around the world.

Sunday, half of my group went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure for the day, where I got to see the infamous Harry Potter World. It was every bit of amazing as people describe it! Again, the detail is just absolutely incredible. One of my favorite areas, for sure. The roller coasters were definitely more intense and adult-centered at Universal, but so fun!

Monday was our last day at Disney, and we spent it at Hollywood Studios. This was a much slower paced day than the rest of the week, and I needed it! We saw a bunch of shows (I think my favorite was the Frozen Sing-A-Long), and we rode pretty much all the rides! The Star Wars Rise of Resistance was absolutely my favorite, with Toy Story land not far behind. It was the perfect ending to our trip!

Being able to take this trip as an entire family (22 people total) was a blessing. We had such a great time, and I cannot wait to go back and experience the Disney magic all over again!!
